Big news from the Big East tonight: Pitt’s Ronald Ramon, his team trailing the West Virginia Mountaineers by two, pulled a Sapp and hit the clutch three with seconds left to pull away for the one-point win. Final score: 55-54.
Sound familiar?
The game helps Pitt’s chances of making to the big dance come March and is WVU’s 3rd loss in its past four games. The moral of the story? Don’t talk smack about Roy.

Free-throws are the death knell for WVU, not student cheers. That is three games now—Oklahoma, Pitt, and Georgetown (yes, I know, but it’s true) that would have been sealed easily even with a mediocre closing stretch from the line, and would have vaulted WVU into the NCAA tournament this spring. Alas, looks like another NIT run for the Hoopies…..
PS
Pitt = lame sauce. Look at the sorry Oakland Zoo…..If only they had to come to DC this year….
