Un coup de basketball

We all know John Thompson III is the best basketball coach around, but Catholic Coach Steve Howes wants to steal that title for himself. The Washington Post is holding a contest to name the area’s best basketball coach, and JTIII and Howes have made it to the final round.

From the looks of things, however, it seems the Washington area could use a little basketball education. Howes has received almost double the number of votes that JTIII has, which is pretty unacceptable. Show your support for him and go vote for JTIII pronto, because the Post will announce the winner on Monday.

    I have to agree with the first person who commented on “Bracketized”:

    “The battle of who can stuff the ballot box rages on!
    (Also known as the battle of whose students and alumni have less to do and can avoid work better on a Friday afternoon).”

    Since we’re in the heat of study days, the trouncing of Howes is a real possibility.
