Swedish indie artist Lykke Li is known for her soaring vocals and inventive electronic arrangements.  She’ll be appearing at the The Sixth and I Synagogue in Chinatown with fellow Swedes Wildbirds and Peacedrums.  Tickets are $20 in advance, and the event is expected to be well attended.

Andrew Bird

With a recent feature in the New York Times Magazine and an album review in the  Voice, Andrew Bird’s been getting  a fair amount of press attention.  He’s returned to DC after headlining the Big Shoulders Ball on the 19th.  See Bird with Swedish multi-instrumentalist Lonely Dear at the 9:30 Club.  Doors open at  7 PM.

Wednesday

Zac Brown Band

Catch the Zac Brown Band at the 9:30 Club for an authentic southern experience.  I saw Zac Brown a few years ago at an open air concert in South Carolina, and his fiery back up musicians made for a great experience.  While his recent music leans toward mainstream country, it might still be worth the trek to see him open for Little Big Town.
