Can’t believe it: GPB books T-Pain for Georgetown’s Spring Concert

I’m on a stage!

I can hardly believe their success, but Facebook doesn’t lie. After weeks of giving us the run-around, the Georgetown Programming Board has finally announced that they’ve booked T-Pain to play at Georgetown’s Spring Concert on April 18th. Hooray!

TheĀ  rapper-producer will be jamming in McDonough Gymnasium on April 18th, which means that GPB had better collaborate with campus groups that have the know-how to overcome the gym’s shitty acoustics; we want to be able to hear the Auto-Tune king loud and clear.

Students ranked T-Pain fourth when GPB gave students the chance to vote on possible artists behind Jason Mraz, Lupe Fiasco, and Third Eye Blind, all of which GPB ruled out as options in late February. No hard feelings, right guys?

Ticket prices and sale dates aren’t available yet. Voice News will have more to say on Thursday.

  1. Unless T-Pain is appearing as one half of the supergroup T-Wayne, I’m not sure this warrants a hooray.

And I think the name of the guy in the I’m on a Boat video is Kiv, short for Akiva.

  2. I’ve heard that Lonely Island might also join the concert. Any credence to that rumor?
