Yipee! The Georgetown Academy is finally on the web.

Last week, everyone’s favorite orthodox Catholic campus publication (which David Gregory (COL `10) and friends revived back in October) uploaded content from their three issues onto a blog-style website, which Gregory said TGA writers will contribute to between issues. A separate website is also in the works, Gregory said.

In its current, March issue, The Georgetown Academy explores feminism and mommyhood and discusses Mother Mary.

  1. Mind telling us where on the web it is?

  2. My mistake on the link, follow the hyperlink for “on the web.”

  3. The issue on feminism is offensive and harmful. It is unfortunate that people still think of women as mere objects, and that this viewpoint is being published in this disgusting publication.

  4. “It sucks,” I really don’t see how the issue is offensive nor harmful. Where do you find it to be so? I’m pretty sure that all the feminist articles are written by females, and I highly doubt that they think of themselves as mere objects. Yes, the Academy might be conservative, but it is in line with Catholic teaching, and I don’t see how it says that women are only objects in the Church.

  5. David Gregory says:

    Yeah it sucks,

None of the articles actually support the objectification of women; quite the opposite, actually, and I’m actually quite surprised you have such a critique. I imagine you’re speaking from a rather biased and narrow framework, though. Which is why TGA is around…to educate.

    Peace,
    DG
