Georgetown YouTube Madness: Sports (besides basketball)

Georgetown YouTube Madness

Last week’s bracket, performances, saw some voting irregularities, but the Chimes’ rendition of “Georgetown Girl” ultimately triumphed.

This week we’ll be looking at sports other than basketball (yes, they exist).

Inside the Huddle: Hoyas First Game at Citi Field: Highlights from the March 29, 2009 game against St. Johns in which our baseball team broke in Citi Field with a 6—4 victory.

More videos, voting and nominations for next week’s category—speakers—after the jump!

Georgetown Volleyball 2008: Highlights from the women’s volleyball team’s 2008 season. After the first minute or so it gets pretty repetitive, so skip to 7:16 for the top ten shots of the season.

Lessons Learned: The Character of Georgetown Athletics: This ode to Georgetown’s athletic programs features clips of various teams and interviews with basketball coach John Thompson III and women’s track team member Buky Bamigboye.

2008 Georgetown Men’s Lacrosse – Attack: Watch the handiwork of the lacrosse team’s offense (read: lots of goals).

Georgetown Diving – Mike 5134D 3M: I’m not sure what a “5134D” is exactly (presumably it’s some sort of dive), but it looks pretty damn impressive.

Is there a video of a Georgetown speech you’d like to see featured in the next round? Let us know!
