Introducing Vox‘s Campus Calendar!
Posted by: Juliana Brint in Vox Populi, tags: Campus Calendar, Campus Events, Georgetown, Self-promotionSince the University decided to opt out of Google Calendar and SaxaSpeak is apparently down for the count, Vox has decided to try our hand at providing Georgetown with a centralized campus calendar.
Here’s how it works: we’ll automatically be adding events from the University’s semi-functional calendar, the athletics schedule and any campus-wide emails that are sent out up to a month in advance. We’re also requesting that student groups and academic departments submit information about any upcoming events to calendar@georgetownvoice.com or through the submission form found on the “Campus Calendar” page.
In addition to updating the calendar daily, we’ll also be doing a weekly post about the best upcoming on-campus happenings, culled from events on the calendar.
So go check out the calendar, and if there are any events you’d like to let us know about, email calendar@georgetownvoice.com with the event name, date, time, location and description!
