On Tuesday morning at 12:35 a.m., a student was allegedly robbed at gunpoint near the intersection of Manor and Observatory Places in Glover Park by an unidentified male, according to a Georgetown Department of Public Safety Public Safety Alert. From the PSA:

The suspect emerged from a white van, displayed a handgun and ordered the student to lay on the ground. The suspect was joined by a second suspect. They searched the student’s backpack and stole a computer, cell phone, and study materials. The suspects also took cash and a gift card from the student’s wallet but returned the wallet and keys. The suspects then jumped into the van and fled the scene north on Observatory Place. The student ran to a nearby house and reported the incident to MPD.

The PSA describes the first suspect as “a black male with a dark complexion, 5′10″ – 6′, with dreadlocks” and the second suspect as a “male.”

In the past month, three similar robberies have occurred in the area surrounding the site of this crime.
