Is it now racist to ever “reference” the Klu Klux Klan/murder of African Americans? Are we also not allowed to “mock” horrible acts? Has someone changed the definitions on me lately? Mocking still has negative connotations, right?

Absolutely, Jack. Professors and administrators calling students racist, anti-Chrisitan bigots in press releases and statements to the national media, prior to getting any explanation or defense from the students, is absolutely responsible and respectful. And of course, calling for censorship and punishment in response is fitting for an academic community committed to the free exchange of ideas. As long as everyone is OK with those ideas.

And yes, Jack, the Heckler absolutely “referenced the Ku Klux Klan and the murder of African Americans in the name of satire.” In the same way that the heinous, anti-Catholic racist bigot Jonathan Swift “referenced infanticide and cannabalism in the name of satire.”

*sigh*

Spineless bullshit from the GU administration, as usual.
