Free Food-for-All: Midnight Madness, Parents’ Weekend

Coming off the wonders of a three day weekend, only the prospect of free noms could possibly bring cheer for the rest of this four day return to school.

Mmmm, Midnight Madness Munchies

‘Tis the season! Midnight Madness is around the corner—and with it comes plenty of free food. All the cheering and excitement from the event will surely make you ravenous, so stop by the Midnight Madness Afterparty to relieve any worries.

The event, hosted by What’s After Dark, will have plenty of free food and drink, and glow sticks. Lots and lots of glow sticks. Starting at 10:45 p.m., the party’ll go on until 1:00 a.m. in the McDonough Parking Lot (or McShain Lounge, if it happens to rain).

Parents Bring the Rain … of Breakfasts

Let’s not forget about Parents’ Weekend. Several food-related events will be hosted by the University for the sudden influx of people who pay the tuition for the majority of Hoyas.

The Saturday morning as you nurse your head (from too much free food, naturally), cure the unpleasantness with a breakfast—or four. Each of the four schools that comprise this fine institution will be hosting a full continental breakfast for their students.

The MSB, SFS, and the College will be hosting their breakfasts from 8 to 8:40 a.m. in the undergraduate common of the Hariri Building, the second floor of Healy Hall, and the ICC Galleria, respectively. The NHS has its breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m. in the lobby of St. Mary’s.

One breakfast not enough for your famished self? Then, it’s a good thing parents are around this weekend! On Sunday, all four schools will be hosting breakfasts in the Leavey Center Ballrooms from 10:30 a.m.

On a parting note that hardly needs to be written: the Bioethics Research Library continues its glorious Cookie Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Healy 102.

  1. Do you need to have season tickets to go to midnight madness?

  2. No, you just need to wait in the massively long line when they distribute the wristbands.

Also, I didn’t know that Abraham Lincoln was at Midnight Madness last year (see bottom right of photo)!
