Vegas oddsmakers set 28 to 1 odds on Georgetown title hopes

Confident about John Thompson III and the men’s basketball team chances this season? Wanna bet on it?

A wager placed on a Georgetown to win the NCAA title will pay out 28 times over, according to odds set in Las Vegas. The Hoyas are the fourth-likeliest Big East team to win come March, behind Syracuse (25 to 1), Pittsburgh (20 to 1) and Villanova (20 to 1).

Although Louisville has the same odds as Georgetown, West Virginia (60 to 1), Seton Hall (60 to 1), and Marquette (75 to 1) trail this season’s guard-heavy team.
