Free HIV screenings held on campus this afternoon
Posted by: John Flanagan in News, Vox Populi, tags: Alumni Lounge, Health, HIV/AIDSIn honor of World AIDS Day, Georgetown University Minority Association of Pre-Health Students and Health Education Services are sponsoring free HIV screenings in the Village C Alumni Lounge today. There will be free food and drink and the screening requires no needles. D.C. has the highest rate of HIV infection in the country, so it’s important to get checked out.
The screening is being performed by PreventionWorks!, a charity that operates a needle exchange program in the District of Columbia.
