Georgetown junior Ingrid Wells has selected to go to the US Women’s Soccer Under-23 National Team training camp.
The two-time Big East midfielder of the year recently traveled to California for the camp. With 22 goals and 34 assists in her first three seasons at Georgetown, Wells is the Georgetown all-time assists leader and two short of the all-time points leader.
This is not her first encounter with the national team, after winning with 2008 World Cup with the under-20 squad. ”There are different players and it’s a different coach, so that’s an adjustment,” Wells said told Georgetown Athletics. “I’m more comfortable since I have been through this before, but you still have to go out and prove yourself. Everyone is really good.”
