View Campus Crime Watch: January 20-26 in a larger map

Few crimes have been reported to the Department of Public Safety this week, but on Tuesday afternoon someone tried to fraudently open an account at the Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union. Due to member privacy, GUASFCU declined to provide any comment on the case.

Saturday, January 22

1:06 AM – TRESPASSING (Canal Road Entrance). A vehicle was stopped after the driver bypassed the gate arms. A check of the vehicle resulted in DPS and MPD finding a digital scale and a large amount of substance similar in appearance to marijuana. MPD arrested the driver and he was transported to MPD Second District.

Sunday, January 23

(NO CRIMES REPORTED)

Monday, January 24

6:00 PM – BURGLARY (Village C East). An unknown person entered into a dorm room and stole a laptop computer. The suspect did not appear to use force in entering the residence. The case is under investigation.

Tuesday, January 25

4:29 PM – FRAUD (GUASFCU – Leavey). An account was opened with fraudulent documents and false information. The case is under investigation.

Wednesday, January 26

10:57 PM – ASSAULT (Henle). As a student was heading home, she was hit in the abdomen by another student. There were no reported injuries. The student was identified and the case was forwarded to student conduct.
