This is sure to sell out way ahead of the concert date. Fleet Foxes will release their second album, Helplessness Blues May 3rd. The album’s title track is already out now.
Lady Gaga
Thursday, February 24, Verizon Center (SOLD OUT, $115+ on StubHub), 8 p.m.

Gang of Four
Wednesday, February 9, 9:30 Club ($35), 7 p.m. doors
Gang of Four are the essential British post-punk band. Known for their wild funk-punk style and poilitcally charged lyrics, their music had a huge influence on the early 2000s post-punk revival (think Franz Ferdinand, but angrier). They will be releasing an album of new material this spring.
Tapes n’ Tapes
Monday, February 7, Rock N Roll Hotel ($16), 7 p.m. doors
Tapes n’ Tapes are a Minneapolis-based indie rock band that hasn’t completely faded from the blog buzz they got a couple years ago. Their new album Outside has received mixed reviews. Oberhofer and Xylos are opening.
Deerhoof w/Chain and the Gang
Monday, February 7, 9:30 Club ($15), 7 p.m. doors
Deerhoof are an indie rock band that play noisy, experimental, and improvisational rock. They’ve been active since 1995 and have released a slew of albums. They’re great. The band who you should not miss is Chain and the Gang, Ian Svenonius’ newest rock act. Host of VBS’ “Soft Focus”, Svenonius and co. are always a laugh. Their sparse version of rock and roll is really interesting to hear. They are releasing a new album this spring.
