Tucker and Thompson rap about the GUSA election
Posted by: Geoffrey Bible in News, Vox Populi, tags: 2011 GUSA Presidential Election
Georgetown music sensation Tate Tucker (COL ’14) and Hoyas forward Hollis Thompson (COL ’13) have thrown their support behind Jed Feiman (COL ’12) and Henry Sims’ (COL ’12) candidacy for the GUSA executive positions via a music video.
Is Feiman Georgetown’s MVP?

They smell a lot better than Ace Facter any day
I’m not planning on voting for them, but this is really well done. Props.
If the joke campaign of Henry Sims and Jed Feiman wins you can add it to the column of embarrassing events for gtown along with DMT and porn girl. I’m sure it will help our USNews ranking.
Why is it any less embarrassing that our school keeps electing the same tools year after year? Jed and henry are funny, but student government is the biggest joke of all!!!!
I agree. this is super embarrassing. Please, Georgetown, elect ANYONE else. I really don’t care who, let’s just not make our school look ridiculous.
Dig the song though.
Is it a joke campaign — or just a funny campaign? I’ve found it to be more of the latter, actually. It’s refreshing to see someone so different from the Angert/Kluger administration stepping up with good ideas too.
However, I didn’t watch the debate, so I don’t know if the most serious questions — how will Henry’s basketball schedule impact his ability to lead, and clarifications on some of their more vague points in their submitted budget — have been adequately answered. If they have been, why not have one of our best improv performers at GU in this role? No big deal.
I was at the debate and questions about Sims were not asked/answered.
Does anyone really expect Sims to do anything at all if elected? while you may think ill of student government, I can’t picture sims sitting through meetings with university administrators
I feel like there is a middle ground between more of the same old GUSA types that students are frustrated by (Mike and Greg) and the refreshing nature of the Feiman Sims ticket. The Joyce/Lovejoy ticket includes one longtime member of GUSA and one complete outsider. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Paige has exactly the same amount of GUSA experience as Henry Sims. I think it’s cool that they have total outsider perspective but also will be able to use their experience to get stuff done. The fact that Charlie chose Paige to run with over all his GUSA colleagues says a lot about him and their ticket. They definitely have my vote.
Has anyone seen my piano?
I agree…GUSA is a joke anyways. Maybe they will actually do something productive.
She just happened to be on GUSA’s Constitutional council for the last three years. No big deal – a convenient oversight can go a long way to bolstering a myth.
Also: Cool video. If I have to rank videos by favorite – Jed/Sims, Mike/Greg, Ace/James, Paige/Charlie, in order from best to worst.
Vote wise? I still can’t take this campaign seriously…
If elected, Jed and Henry have No intention of resigning. Their campaign, while funny, is very serious to them. They would like to include the voices of anyone and everyone at GU! There is nothing embarrassing at all with regard to their candidacy and if one has read their manifesto, they have some wonderful and useful ideas for the school. So please vote FEIMAN/SIMS tomorrow and everyone will be pleasantly surprised at how hard they will work for everyone.

Read the Feiman/Sims platform. These guys have very realistic and concrete proposals. No one ever said that you can’t have a sense of humor and be a leader…
Vote Feiman/Sims!
@ Re: Weary/WaryofTools
I was appointed to Constitutional Council last year by Calen. In my time on CC I made only one ruling. I was abroad last fall. My experience as a leader and just normal Georgetown student has been far greater than my extremely limited contact with GUSA.
I was hesitant to say yes, when Charlie asked me to run with him, because I knew all about many of the perspectives that GUSA is a joke, doesn’t represent the students, is full of arrogant boys, etc. I agreed to be a part of this ticket when I realized that together we have some really great ideas that will actually change student life at Georgetown and that my \outside perspective\ – whether you see it that way or not – allowed me to work with Charlie to come up with innovative but practical ideas.
Joyce-Lovejoy isn’t your typical ticket – like Jed has been saying, we want to include everyone’s voice – but we have the leadership experience and work ethic to actually get shit done.
Real Georgetown students don’t care about US News rankings–they just care about being ballers. And who’s a bigger baller than Henry Sims?
Could Henry Sims name the VP for Student Affairs or all the Advisory Boards?
That being asked, good video and GO HOYAS tonight.
I do not know who wrote that first comment, but it was sweet of them. However they are an imposter!
Will the real Page Lovejoy please stand up, please stand up?
Maybe I need some rehab,
Or maybe just need some sleep
I’ve got a sick obsession,
I’m seeing it in my dreams
I’m looking down every alley,
I’m making those desperate calls
Im staying up all night hoping,
Hit my head against the walls
What you’ve got boy is hard to find
Think about it all about it all the time
I’m all strung up my heart is fried
I just cant get you off my mind
Because your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love
Won’t listen to any advice, mamma’s telling me to think twice
But left to my own devices i’m addicted its a crisis!
My friends think I’ve gone crazy, my judgment is getting kinda hazy
My status is gonna be affected if I keep it up like a love sick crackhead
What you’ve got boy is hard to find
Think about it all about it all the time
I’m all strung up my heart is fried
I just cant get you off my mind
Because your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love
I don’t care what people say
The rush is worth the price I pay
I get so high when you’re with me
But crash and crave you when you are away
So I got a question;
Do you want to have a summer party in my basement?
Do I make your heart beat like an 808 drum?
Is my love, your drug?
(huh) Your drug? (huh) your drug? (huh) your drug?
Is my love, your drug?
Because your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love
I said your love, your love, your love, is my drug
Your love your love your love (x2)
Heyyy heyyy your love, your love, your love, your love, is my drug
I like your beard

@ (fake) paigelovejoy
your argument for not having been affiliated with GUSA is that you were appointed and haven’t done anything. Really?
How is that at all a good thing?
