View Campus Crime Watch: February 21-28 in a larger map

This past week, DPS had to educate some gentlemen at Epicurean on the finer points of chivalry when one of them tried to introduce himself to the other’s date. A number of other crimes occurred recently, including the attempted robbery of a student near LXR. However, DPS has not yet updated their report to show some of the most recent crimes.

7:39 PM – THEFT (Reynolds). An unknown person stole a secured bicycle by cutting the lock. The complainant was returning from dinner when she found her bicycle stolen.

8:46 AM – THEFT (SWQ Parking). An employee stated that an unknown person stole his parking pass from his vehicle. The complainant states that he locked the vehicle in the morning. In the evening, when he returned home, he found his parking decal missing. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

Thursday, 24 February 2011

9:50 PM – THEFT (ICC). A student reported that she had secured her bicycle. When she returned from class, she found that the cable lock was cut and her bicycle was stolen. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

Friday, 25 February 2011

1:34 PM – THEFT (Village A). A student reported that her sunglasses were taken from the top of her desk and US currency was removed from her pocketbook. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

Saturday, 26 February 2011

12:03 AM – ASSAULT (Epicurean). A male suspect tried to pick up another male’s girlfriend. Both parties, including the female, got into a physical altercation. All parties sustained minor injuries and none wanted to press charges. The suspect was identified and officially barred from campus.

12:18 AM – DRUG VIOLATION (LXR). DPS responded to a suspicious smell call at a residence. Contact was made with a student who admitted smoking marijuana and being in possession of drug paraphernalia. All the items were confiscated and submitted into evidence. The student was identified. The case has been referred to student conduct.

5:51 PM – THEFT (Leavey). A student reported that she had secured her bicycle on the bike rack. When she returned two days later, she found that the bicycle along with the cable lock had been stolen.
