This week a student was taken to the ER after taking prescription medicine that was not his. Another student was less than enthusiastic about DPS helping him walk (stumble?) down Library Walk.
Thursday, 20 April 2011
7:51 PM – THEFT (Leo’s). A student reported that someone had stolen her keys, wallet, and check debit card. The student reported that she had momentarily left her table to get a drink. When she returned her wallet and keys were missing. The person that took the keys called the victim anonymously and returned her items without incident. The student says that nothing was missing from her wallet and her credit cards were not used.

8:24 AM – PRESCRIPTION FRAUD (Village A). A student gave another student prescription medication which belonged to a third party. The student that was provided the prescription suffered side effects and was transported to Georgetown University Emergency Room by GERMS. The case was investigated and the student was identified. The case has been forwarded to student conduct.
10:20 PM – BURGLARY (Village B). A student reported that she left her window unlocked. She then heard glass shatter. She left her residence and returned later to find that her laptop computer was missing. A suspect was located and he had the stolen item in his possession. He was arrested and charged with “theft by receiving stolen property” and taken to MPD Second District for processing.

1:05 AM, ASSAULT (Library Walk). While a DPS officer was assisting an ill student, the student became combative and threatened the officer. The student then struck the officer in the face. The student was identified. The case has been forwarded to student conduct.

12:05 PM – THEFT (Medical-Dental Building). A staff member reported that a case of blank CD’s were stolen out of his file cabinet. There are no suspects or witnesses.
Wednesday, 26 April 2011
11:00 AM – THEFT (3500 block of O Street). A student reported that his laptop computer was stolen from his bedroom. There are no suspects or witnesses.
1:34 PM THEFT (Harris Building). A staff member reported that her wallet was stolen from her locker. The locker was unlocked at the time of the incident. There are no suspects or witnesses.
