As a student in St. Mary’s learned, thieves don’t care that you only “inadvertently” left your laptop prey to their mischievousness. Also, in a first for the crime report, someone actually recovers lost items!

Tuesday, 26 July 2011

7:30 p.m. – THEFT (St. Mary’s). Individual stated that she inadvertently left her laptop plugged into an outlet in a classroom at the listed location. She went home, leaving the property at the location, only to discover upon reaching home that she did not have her laptop. When she returned to the classroom, the property was gone. Case is pending investigation.

11:30 p.m. – THEFT (SWQ Garage). A student reported theft of personal items from his vehicle. At the time of the incident the vehicle had been left unlocked. Case is pending investigation.

2:41 p.m. – THEFT (Reynolds). Complainant reported that an unknown person stole his pot and utensil from a sink at the listed location after he washed the items and left them there. Case is pending investigation.

5:00 p.m. – THEFT (Copley). A student reported that US currency had been stolen from his room. The door was not secured. Case is pending investigation.

11:30 a.m. – THEFT (Reynolds). A student left his laptop unattended in the common room. Upon his return, he reported he found the laptop missing. Case closed: No leads.

2:40 p.m. – BURGLARY (McCarthy). Case is pending investigation. Complainants are roommates who reported that unknown person(s) accessed their room and stole property. There were no signs of forced entry. Case is pending investigation.

8:30 a.m. – BURGLARY (Reynolds). Case is pending investigation. A student reported that his iPhone was missing from his room. Case is pending investigation.

3:00 p.m. – THEFT (Pre-Clinical Building). A student reported that she left several items in her secured locker. Upon her return, she found that her lock and items were missing. Case Closed: The items were located.
