At 9:42 a.m. this morning, a University faculty member reported to the Department of Public Safety that an unknown suspect had forcibly entered an office suite in the New Research Building, according to a DPS public safety alert. The New Research Building is west of Georgetown University Hospital, located near the northwest corner of the main campus.

A DPS and MPD investigation revealed that the suspect entered several offices and stole a computer monitor. There is no available description of the suspect.

DPS requests that anyone who has information regarding this incident, or who noticed any suspects before or after the incident, to contact them immediately at (202) 687-4343.
