Classes are wrapping up, spring is in the air, and finals are just around the corner, but you can always count on free food to be there. And this week, it’s all international. That’s right, iWeek is back to bring the noms with several more scrumptious events.
This Friday is the day to be hungry, as there are three straight events to whet your appetite for culture and the foods of Asia and Latin America.
Start off by celebrating Israel’s 64th anniversary of independence at Israel @ 64, hosted by the Georgetown Israel Alliance. The independence day celebrations promise to bring music, hookah, and food- and all for free. Stop by Copley Lawn from 4-6 p.m. to start off Friday’s international food marathon
Not quite full after all that Middle Eastern food? Never fear, that’s what Club Singapore’s “So You Think You Like Satay?” is for! Be sure to head over to Alumni Lounge from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and indulge your love of Southeast Asian food. Who knows, maybe you’ll even win the satay-eating contest!
If you still find yourself in Alumni Lounge, not sated by all that satay, then be sure to make some room in your stomach for the food promised by the Colombian Movie Night! Join the ISA and PorColombia for a showing of Love in the Time of Cholera and mouth-watering Colombian food from 9 to 11:30 p.m., again in the Alumni Lounge.
