On average, students have ~$4000 in federal subsidized loans per year. Meaning that accounts for under 10% of the annual costs at Georgetown. Sure, not everywhere is as expensive as Georgetown, but it still doesn’t contribute THAT much.

Fact: centers for diversity, soccer and pretty landscaping push up the price tag.

As a student with obo $20k in loans, i wish the government didn’t subsidize them, and I wish universities stopped trying to do non-essential stuff.
