I mean… 7th and Mass is within walking distance of multiple Catholic churches, including St. Mary Mother of God at 727 5th Street, NW; St. Patrick’s at 619 10th Street, NW; and Immaculate Conception at 1315 8th Street, NW. Given that the Jesuit Province of Maryland had to abandon St. Al’s up at Gonzaga due to lack of priests, I don’t think it’s feasible to establish a separate chapel in this office building. Besides, working professionals presumably already have a home parish and don’t have a need for ‘campus’ ministry the same way that undergrads and full-time graduate students might.

That said, this is a big step forward. But not an excuse to dilute our identity just because students will be working professionals.
