On Friday and Saturday night, Gaston Hall was lit up by the annual Rangila dance fundraiser. President John J. DeGioia and the ambassadors from Lebanon and South Africa were in attendance.
According to Nilesh Seshadri (COL ’15), an event coordinator, this year’s Rangila raised over $12,000, all of which will go towards the Kumarappa Institute of Gwam Swaraj in Jaipur, India. KIGS provides aid for impoverished children and women in this region.
520 dancers participated in Rangila this year, which is 100 more than last year. The show had some new performances, such as Old School, which brought back some of the most famous “Bollywood” songs of the ’90s, as well as the classic favorites, like the climactic Senior Bhangra finale.
