The President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai is scheduled to begin speaking at around 6:00 p.m. Phyllis Magrab, Vice-Chair of the U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council and Georgetown University professor of pediatrics will give opening remarks starting at 5:30 p.m, followed by an introduction by Georgetown President Jack DeGioia . Karzai’s address is entitled “Afghanistan Beyond 2014: A Perspective on Afghan-U.S. Relations.” Afterwards, Karzai will take one question from Facebook and four questions from the audience.
