There were 22 violent and property crimes in Georgetown this May, according to DPS’s daily crime log. 15 of these were thefts of unattended property around campus, and the laptop gnomes succeeded in nabbing five victims this May. Oddly, a man was spotted wacking off in his car near the Lau steps.

May 1, 2013

9:24 p.m., Copley Hall—Harassment: Roommates reported that they were being harassed by a fellow roommate. Referred to student conduct.

May 3, 2013

9:35 p.m., 20th Street and Massachusetts Avenue—Assault: A staff member reported that he was pushed and spit on by a non-affiliate as he was operating a GU vehicle. Case closed with MPD arrest.

May 5, 2013

1:05 p.m., Lauinger Library—Theft: A student reported the theft of a wallet from the listed location. Case pending investigation.

May 6, 2013

9:30 a.m., Hariri Building—Theft: A staff member reported the theft of university speakers from a conference room in the listed location. MPD responded and is handling the investigation.

May 8, 2013

8:11 p.m., Darnall Hall—Drug and Alcohol Violation: Alcohol and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the room of a student by officers after investigating a suspicious odor. Referred to student conduct.

4:38 p.m., 37th Street and N Street—Disorderly Conduct and Lewd and Indecent Acts: A student reported observing a male masturbating in a vehicle at the listed location. MPD responded and is handling the investigation.

12:25 p.m., Lauinger Library—Theft: A student reported the theft of his wallet from his unattended backpack at the listed location. Case pending investigation.

3:17 p.m., Village C West—Unlawful Entry: A previously barred non-affiliate was arrested after officers made contact with him at the listed location. Case closed with arrest.

1:00 p.m., Pre-Clinical Science Building—Theft: A student reported the theft of a debit card and US currency from her purse at the location. MPD responded and is handling the investigation.
