According to DPS’s campus crime log, there were 15 violent and property crimes in Georgetown this July. In addition to the typical smattering of burglaries of unlocked rooms and thefts of unattended items, there were 5 unlawful entries of Georgetown buildings.

July 1, 2013

4:30 p.m., Leo’s Dining Hall—Theft: A student reported the theft of phone that was left unattended in the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.

July 5, 2013

3:50 a.m., Poulton Hall—Public Urination: A female with no affiliation with the university was observed urinating in public in the listed location. Case closed with barring.

July 7, 2013

6:53 p.m., Henle Village—Unlawful Entry: A male with no affilation with the university was found in the listed location. Case closed with barring.

July 8, 2013

8:51 a.m., Southwest Quadrangle Garage—Theft: A staff member reported the theft of a parking permit from his vehicle. Case closed due to no further leads.

9:00 a.m., Darnall Hall—Burglary: A student reported that an unknown person entered into his residence and stole his wallet. Case closed due to no further leads.

6:50 p.m., Leavey Center—Theft: A student reported the theft of a bicycle from the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.

July 12, 2013

12:37 p.m., ICC—Theft: A staff member reported the theft of a laptop from an office in the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.

July 13, 2013

9:00 a.m., Lauinger Library—Theft: A student reported the theft of a bicycle from the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.

July 17, 2013

11:00 p.m., Southwest Quad—Theft: A cellphone that was left unattended in the listed location was stolen. MPD responded and is handling the investigation.

July 18, 2013

12:28 p.m., Dahlgren Chapel—Unlawful Entry: A previously barred affiliate was observed on campus in the listed location. Case closed with arrest.

July 19, 2013

11:20 a.m., New Research Building—Burglary: A staff member reported the theft of a laptop from an office in the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.

July 21, 2013

11:30 p.m., Village C West—Unlawful Entry: A male with no affiliation with the university was found in the listed location. Case closed with barring.

July 23, 2013

12:25 p.m., Lauinger Library—Disorderly Conduct: A non-affiliate with a history of disruptive behavior was escorted out of the listed location. Case closed with barring.

July 29, 2013

12:04 p.m., New Research Building—Unlawful Entry: A non-affiliate who entered a staff member’s office in the listed location was barred from all Georgetown property by GUPD. Case closed with barring.

9:30 a.m., Hoya Snaxa—Theft: A student reported the theft of merchandise from outside of the listed location. Case closed due to no further leads.
