Greg Whittington dismissed from men’s basketball team
Georgetown men’s basketball coach John Thompson III announced today that junior forward Greg Whittington has been dismissed from the team. No reason for his dismissal has been given at this time.
A prominent part of the Hoyas success last year, Whittington started 13 games and averaged 12.1 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game before an academic suspension sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Whittington did not appear in any games this year due to an ACL injury suffered this past summer. Due to his extensive rehab, it was doubtful that he would have played at all this year.
