What would Walter White say: This week’s movie releases

Vox previews this weekend’s movie premieres in D.C. in the words of the calm and morally sound Walter White.

That Awkward Moment

Hey look, guys, men can be sensitive and caring too. Look, really. Three best friends, who normally play girls like guitars, wind up falling into that weird “so what exactly is this?” phase of dating with three lovely ladies. Of course, they all get mad at each other and themselves for ruining their precious bromance. Also Zac Efron is starring in this movie (bet that’s makin’ ya think twice).

Walter White’s take: “Never give up control. Live life on your own terms.”

Labor Day

Kate Winslet stars in this romantic drama as the world’s most dramatic example of Stockholm Syndrome. When a murder convict, played by Josh Brolin, escapes from prison and takes a lonely mother and her son hostage in their own home, things get frisky pretty quickly, as Winslet discovers that Brolin is hot and still in town, unlike her runaway husband. They even get to play out their hide-and-seek fetish after police come looking door to door for Brolin.

Walter White’s take: “I told you, [Winslet]. I warned you for a solid year. You cross me, there will be consequences. What part of that didn’t you understand?”
