Brace yourselves: GUSA election season has officially begun despite the weather
GUSA campaigns may have been too optimistic about the weather.
At midnight, GUSA candidates officially announced their campaigns, marking a period almost all Georgetown students (except those involved in GUSA) have come to fear: GUSA executive election season.
After 12 solid minutes of effort in the snow storm, however, the candidates realized it was too cold for the tape to stick to the brick.
“First to hang their banner wins the campaign!” yelled one candidate. Soon after, the campaigns agreed to return tomorrow when it will be warmer and the tape doesn’t freeze. Thanks to the snow storm, even GUSA elections have been postponed!
There are four tickets persevering through the weather to run for the executive slot:
- Ben Weiss (COL ’15) for president with Samuel Greco (SFS ’15)
- Trevor Tezel (SFS ’15) for president with Omika Jikaria (SFS ’15)
- Zach Singer (SFS ’15) for president with Dan Silkman (COL ’15)
- Thomas Lloyd (SFS ’15) for president with Jimmy Ramirez (COL ’15)
Vox has a series of Q&As coming in the morning that will feature each ticket’s favorite Wisey’s sandwich, which is basically as important their platforms.
