Dahlgren Chapel gets an organ transplant
After two weeks, the new organ has been installed in Dahlgren Chapel and is now being tuned to fit the shape of the room.
“There’s a science and an art to the whole thing,” James Wickman, Director of Music and Liturgy, told Vox for her last post on the organ. “The people that do this have been doing it for many, many years. They take each pipe individually to get it just to the right sound.”
The new organ was funded by the Lenowski Family and is part of the 5-year renovation process for Dahlgren.
