You just got served: Hoyas take on Louisville

Hot off of last Sunday’s win against Rutgers, the Georgetown volleyball team (12-9, 5-3 BE) is looking to rack up another conference victory against the University of Louisville. But the Cardinals (10-10, 6-3 BE), with their dominating size and solid offense, will certainly offer a stiffer challenge than the fledgling Scarlet Knights.

Trying to cut down on the costly habit of parking in Georgetown

It’s 6:03. I race past St. Mary’s and down Reservoir Road. I’m stopped by the ridiculously long light on the corner of Reservoir and 37th Street. I check the street for cars as I race across the street. I continue down 37th looking for my car. There it is. Damnit, I’m only three minutes late. I curse loudly while removing the offending leaflet from my windshield—another ticket to add to the ticket wall.

This is why we’re hot

The following songs’ heavy baselines and lyrics are guaranteed to get you pumped-up while drinking at 10 a.m. before the game (as if you needed any help). They will also keep you going as you rush to the Verizon Center two hours early hoping to sit in the lower student section. Bump these tracks while you read the Voice’s basketball issue so you’ll know the words by game time this Saturday.

He’s more fly than superfly

When my father walks into a room, he cannot help but radiate badass. Since high school, he has often reminded me how much cooler he is than I am. I usually ignore the comment and roll my eyes, but deep down, I know he’s right.

It’s a people-watching party

My window is my favorite part of my Village A apartment. My room is too small to hold two desk and two beds, so I put my desks by the window in the living room, directly across from the old Jesuit residence, west of the library. The view has become quite a distraction. I’d much rather people-watch out my window than study Italian or stare at my computer screen.
