GUSA VP DEBATE
Tomorrow night, the Election Commission will host the annual vice-presidential debate for the five candidates vying for GUSA’s number two spot. The event will be held in White-Gravenor 201 at 9 p.m and will be open for students. Both Assistant Vox Editor Ryan Greene and I will live-blogging the event, which will also be streamed live by GUTV.

Each candidate will offer a two-and-a-half minute opening statement. After that, a campus media panel consisting of a representative from The Hoya, a member of GUTV, and myself will sprinkle the candidates with questions.

While audience members can submit questions using the #GUSA2013 hashtag, Vox would like to open the debate up for our readers’ questions as well. The questions can be specific to a candidate or a group of candidates but must have a specific reason for doing so, such as similarity in platform proposals.

Ask away in the comments section.

While GUSA and the Republican Party are hard at work grooming our next presidents, we’re taking this Presidents’ Day off to appreciate the accomplishments of the University’s very own fearless leader. Presidents’ Day shouldn’t be about just George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Happy Presidents Day!
