Editor’s Note: Some of the students in the video say the gun was stolen from a Metropolitan Police Department officer.  It should be noted that the gun was actually taken from a Park Police officer.

Last week, the Diversity Working Groups formed in response to the Hoya’s offensive April Fools’ Day issue held a town hall meeting to discuss their progress.  Unfortunately, the meeting was pretty sparsely attended, so Vox decided to go out on campus and find out what students are thinking about Georgetown’s diversity issues.

For the second installation of Vox Talks, we asked people on campus their feelings about MTV’s reality stalwart, the Real World, coming to Dupont Circle for its 23rd season.

Vox is proud to present our first foray into the world of vlogging! We’re starting a new feature, Vox Talks, where every couple weeks we’ll go out on campus and ask students their thoughts about a current event.

This week we tackled the topic of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford who revealed yesterday that his mysterious 5-day disappearance was actually a trip to Argentina to visit his lover. A local newspaper, the State, also released some pretty salacious emails from Sanford to his mistress. We asked students about their reaction to the news, especially given the fact that Sanford’s wife, Jenny, is a Georgetown alumna.
