GW transcripts could include extracurriculars
GW students may soon have a new transcript that’s actually reflective of their complete college experience. The GW Portfolio, which would list extracurricular activities and internships along with course grades, has been approved by President Steven Knapp, but it still has to be OK’d by the Board of Trustees and another administrator.
This is a great idea, and something Georgetown should definitely consider implementing. Plenty of students devote at least much time and effort to tutoring programs or dance groups or newspapers as they do to their classes, and it would be nice to have that effort recognized in an official way by the University.
It’ll be too late for me, but dream, dream of the day when future generations of Georgetown kids will be able to list Rangila next to their general education requirements.
