Two women’s basketball players suspended for Louisville scuffle
Two Georgetown women’s basketball players have been suspended by the school for their part in the pregame Saturday scuffle with Louisville players, the AP is reporting.
Barbara Jonas, the team spokesperson for Georgetown, said she did not think it was fair to name the two players, but as the AP reporter points out, it may become obvious who is suspended when they are not in uniform in the Saturday game against DePaul.
The suspensions were handed out after the coaching staff and administration review the tape recording of the melee. According to the article, “Georgetown also said its players will be told to stay at their designated end of the court during warmups at future games.”
