Men’s lacrosse receives preseason Big East honors
This Friday, Men’s Lacrosse was picked third in the Big East Preseason Coaches Poll behind Syracuse and Notre Dame. Barney Ehrmann and Travis Comeau were selected to the All-Big East Preaseason team. Rounding out the preseason rankings are Villanova, St. John’s, and Providence.
Men’s lacrosse has its first game on Sunday, February 20 playing Jacksonville University in the Sunshine Classic. On March 12, hey will host play Syracuse at the M&T Bank Stadium. Their first game in Washington is against Providence on March 19.
Ehrmann is a graduate student who sat out last season with a back injury. Currently, he is 11th in Georgetown history with 165 ground balls. In 2010, he was named Preseason Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
Comeau started seven of 13 games and made 25 goals. Last season, he finished fourth in the conference averaging 1.92 goals per game and was named a Big East Offensive Player of the Week twice.
