‘Georgetown’ pilot goes into production for ABC
ABC has ordered the production of a pilot of “Georgetown” a soap-drama about “young people behind the power brokers of D.C.” The series is being produced by Josh Schwartz creator of “The O.C.” and co-creator of “Gossip Girl” and “Chuck.” The series will likely be about naive, sexy 20-somethings who are slowly but surely disillusioned by Washington’s political scene.
Could the series include confrontations with Metro Police about noise violations, angry neighbors, rats? Will Philly-P’s will be converted in a “Friends”-like Central Perk hangout? Who knows? A pilot is a pilot, but the series could possibly run next season.
