Free Food for All: Keeping the tradition alive

It’s Homecoming, folks! And while that in itself is delightful news, those of you with an appetite should prepare yourselves for the wondrous quantity of free food available on Traditions Day.

On Traditions Day, which occurs this Friday, start your day with scrumptious Corp bagels and coffee in Red Square without shelling out a penny from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Later in the day, bob for apples in Red Square with the Georgetown Farmers Market and the Corp from 12 to 3:30 p.m. for the chance to munch on a delicious apple and get a free “bobbing for apples” t-shirt.

Wrap up the free portion of Traditions Day with the mysterious “Free Food from Local Favorites” supplied by the Sophomore and Junior Class Committees from noon to 3 p.m. Hopefully, this means Leo’s didn’t make the list of offerings.

In a departure from our normal fare, this Friday the International Relations Club will be hosting a dinner at the Mexican restaurant Los Cuates from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and will be footing the bill for (part) of your dinner. While this may not be free, who doesn’t enjoy a subsidized trip to Los Cuates? Be sure to RSVP here to snag a place!
