Remix Your Weekend: Karaoke and Green Tea
Punk Rock Karaoke at the Black Cat- This Friday night at the Black Cat, belt out tunes by the Mistfits while supporting a good cause at Punk Rock Karaoke Night. There is an $8 cover that will be donated to Ambassador Pit Bull Rescue, and if you bring non-perishable food items for We Are Family, you’ll receive buttons and stickers. Black Cat is located on 1811 14th St. NW, Washington DC, and the event starts at 9:30 p.m.
Mr. Lincoln’s Washington: A Civil War Portfolio- For all you history buffs, the National Portrait Gallery will be displaying a new exhibit of enlarged reproductions of Civil War-era photographs, drawings and maps detailing life here in the District during Abraham Lincoln’s presidency. The museum is located on Eighth and F streets NW, and admission is free.
Warm yourself up at Ching Ching Cha- If this week’s polar vortex still has you in dire need of some warmth, stop by Ching Ching Cha to enjoy a cup of delicious Strawberry Green tea with some friends. This cozy tea place is located right in the Georgetown neighborhood at 1063 Wisconsin Avenue, and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
