Vox wants to know, are you #ready for Hillary?

Yesterday at 3 pm, former Senator Secretary of State First Lady Champion Hillary Rodham Clinton announced that she is running for President of these United States of America.

She is the first of her party to do so, and she currently holds a large lead in the polls among potential democratic candidates.

Hillary kicked off her campaign with a two minute video titled “Getting Started”. After a minute and a half of clips showing the lives of some average Americans in transitional periods in their lives, Clinton then appears in the video (coincidentally donning patriotic colors, no doubt) to address inequality and the financial crisis.

“Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times, but the deck is still stacked in favor of those at the top. Every day, Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion,” she says. Presumably these ideas will feature a major role in her campaign to come.

In her video, she then goes on to mention American families, and she offers an invitation to join her campaign to put the first U.S. woman into the White House, “Because when families are strong, America is strong. So I’m hitting the road to earn your vote, because its your time, and I hope you will join me on this journey.”

Her announcement came as a surprise to few no one: Clinton is one of the most well-known women in U.S. politics. Despite her loss in the democratic primary against President Obama in the race for the presidency for 2008, polls show nothing of the sort likely to happen, yet.

So, r u #ready 4 Hillary? (Because apparently Ted Cruz is.)
